Why am I unable to view shares bought as part of an ESOP (Employee Stock Option Plan) in my portfolio?

ESOPs (Employee Stock Option Plan) are a system under which employees of a company are given rights to acquire shares of the company at a discounted rate/for free.

Shares bought through ESOPs may have a lock-in period during which you will not be allowed to sell them. For this reason, these holdings will not be shown on  FLIP. However, they will be present in your demat account, and can be viewed on MyGeojit > Log in and select Equity under Holdings.
