What is Muhurat Trading and Samvat 2079? 

Muhurat means an auspicious time when the planets are aligned favourably to ensure positive results. 

Muhurat trading is an event unique to the Indian Stock Market on account of Diwali. Every year, the stock exchange hosts a special one-hour trading session to mark the beginning of the Samvat (Hindu accounting year) on the day of Laxmi Pujan. Traders believe that investin gon this occasion will bring blessings from Lakshmi, the Goddess of Wealth & Prosperity, and set the tone for wealth creation for the year.
