What is mock trading?
Mock trading, also known as virtual trading, allows investors to practice trading and strategies in a simulated market environment. Mock trading sessions are typically conducted on Saturdays by exchanges. These sessions are meant for system testing and preparedness, and brokers participate by simulating trades in a virtual environment.
All trades placed during mock sessions are purely notional—no real money or securities are involved. It's a great opportunity for new investors to explore the platform and get a feel of market operations without any risk.
What happens if one does trading on Mock trading day ?
All orders and positions created during the mock session will be automatically cleared by the end of the day. Your actual portfolio and positions will remain unaffected and will be restored as usual from the next trading day.
