How can I open a Resident status Geojit account online if my KRA-KYC is registered?

Open Resident status Geojit account online in simple steps. For this,  

1. Visit hello.geojit.com. 
2. Keep these documents handy : 

•  PAN
• Aadhaar number
• Bank proof
• Signature

3. Enter your 10 digits mobile number here and click on ‘Send OTP’. You will receive an OTP from Geojit. Enter the OTP you received and click on ‘Confirm’ to verify your mobile number. Mobile number once validated through OTP cannot be changed.

 

4. You can click on ‘Continue with Google’ (in this case email ID in the google account is used) or enter the email ID. In the first scenario no verification is required. But in the second scenario where an email ID is entered, verification is to be done by clicking on the verification link send by Geojit to your email ID. You need to enter name as per PAN card 

5. A verification link will be sent to the email id entered by you. You need to click on the link in the last email received from Geojit for verification of email ID. 

6. You can enter the location / pin code and list of related locations appear below from

which selections can be made.

7. Upload PAN

8. Enter your PAN number and Date of Birth. Name as per PAN card gets auto populated in this screen as it is already entered earlier. 

9. Click on ‘continue with Digi Locker’ for fetching KYC details from Digi locker 

 

10. If you do not have a Digi locker account, you can open a new account by signing up. 

11. Once done with fetching data, select trading experience from given options.

12. Select marital status

13. Father/Spouse name gets auto populated. But you can edit the same if required. And can change tax details displayed at the end of the screen.

14. Select occupation from given options.

 

15. Select source of income from given options. 

16. Select annual income from given options.

 

17. In case you are a politically exposed person, need to choose the category under which you are PEP. Select ‘No’ if you are not politically exposed person. 

18. Link bank account - You can search the IFSC code of the bank. Bank gets displayed on the screen for selection. Once bank is selected you need to enter the bank account number and the account type and click on ‘confirm bank details ’.

 

19. If online bank verification fails, you need to upload the bank proof.

21. Capture selfie photo

22. Confirm profile - All the details that you entered gets populated in this screen. You can read through the details and edit it as required. You can add nominee in this page. Once ‘confirm profile’ is clicked, you cannot change any details.

 

23. Click on ‘Proceed to eSign’ under application form eSign to digitally sign your application. You will be redirected to the NSDL page for eSign. 

24.  Click on ‘Proceed to eSign’ under KRA eSign to digitally sign your application. You will be redirected to the NSDL page for eSign. 

25. Once you have completed all the process, you will get a completion message along with DP ID and Trade code.
