How long does the dematerialisation process take?
As per SEBI guidelines, Depository Participants (Geojit) are required to process dematerialisation requests within 7 days.
The issuer company/RTA will further take up to 15 days to process the request when received from Geojit.
Considering the time required for the transmission of documents from Geojit to the issuer company/RTA, dematerialisation will normally take about 30 days.
