What is an International Securities Identification Number (ISIN)?
An International Securities Identification Number (ISIN) is a unique 12 digit alpha-numeric identification number allotted to a security. For example INE238A01034 is the ISIN for Axis Bank.
Equity-fully paid up, equity-partly paid up, and equity with differential voting/ dividend rights (issued by the same issuer) will have different ISINs.
