What are Outstanding Shares?

They are the total amount of stock that is currently owned by a company's stockholders. It can include restricted shares and share blocks. When an investment bank announces an IPO of a company, the bank will set a specific number of outstanding shares.

Issued Shares- Shares given to investors
Outstanding Shares- All shares issues by a company
