What is Repledging?
As per the current margin pledging system, a pledge is marked in favour of the broker (Geojit), and holdings remain in the client's account. The broker in turn further pledges these securities in favour of the Clearing Corporation to get margins- this is referred to as the margin repledge process. The margins given by the Clearing Corporation to the broker are further extended to the client.
Clients will be able to view securities that have been pledged, and those repledged by the broker in their demat holdings.
