Is Securities Transaction Tax (STT) levied on ETFs?
STT is not applicable on:
- GOLD ETFs
- Liquid/Gilt ETFs
- International ETFs
For trades in all other types of ETFs, STT is applicable.
The following table contains the applicable STT rates for equity ETFs:
