Does an order placed during the pre-open session shift to the regular session if it doesn't get executed?

Yes, unexecuted orders from the pre-market session are transferred to the regular session based on the order type:
  • Unmatched limit orders are carried over to the regular session at the same price, with their original timestamp.
  • Unmatched market orders are carried over to the regular session at the opening price, with their original timestamp. If the opening price is not established during the pre-open session, market orders are shifted at the previous day's closing price.

The pre-open session is conducted from 9:00 to 9:15 a.m.
