Is it mandatory for an NRI to provide a local (Indian) address?
NRIs (NRE and NRO) are required to provide a foreign address proof while opening an account.
If you wish to maintain a local address as the correspondence address linked to your account, you must provide the appropriate documentation in addition to your foreign address proof.
