What Is the Revised Frequency for BSDA Reassessment and DP AMC Billing?

As per SEBI regulatory requirements, the BSDA (Basic Services Demat Account) eligibility reassessment and DP AMC (Depository Participant – Annual Maintenance Charges) billing process have been revised. Effective from the current financial year (April 15,2026), BSDA reassessment and DP AMC billing will now be carried out on a quarterly basis instead of annually.

BSDA Eligibility Reassessment

• BSDA eligibility, which was earlier reviewed annually, will now be reassessed every quarter.
• Eligibility will continue to be determined based on the value of holdings in the demat account and existing BSDA conditions.

DP AMC Billing Frequency

• DP AMC billing has been changed from an annual cycle to a quarterly cycle.
• There is no change in the AMC rates. Only the billing frequency has been revised.

BSDA Categories & Applicable Conditions

The Basic Services Demat Account (BSDA) facility is applicable to individual demat account holders, subject to the following conditions:

• The client should have only one demat account as the first holder across all depositories.
• Mobile number and SMS alerts must be registered with the depository.

Holding Value	Applicable AMC
Up to ₹4 lakh	Nil AMC
Above ₹4 lakh and up to ₹10 lakh	Reduced AMC – ₹100 + taxes (annual equivalent)
Above ₹10 lakh	Not eligible for BSDA – Normal AMC applicable

With quarterly billing, reduced or normal AMC (as applicable) will be charged proportionately every quarter.

Clients can clear the AMC dues online via the payment link shared in the AMC communication mail.

Alternatively, AMC can be paid at any of our branch using UPI. If you are an active trading client with an active demat account, the AMC dues will be debited from your trading account either on the due date or on the day when there is a credit in your trading account.
