Where can I view my dividend report ?
A Dividend is a corporate action wherein a payment is made to the shareholders of a company from a portion of its profits. You will be eligible to receive dividends if you have purchased shares of the concerned company on or before the ex-date (for it to be settled in your demat account by the record date).
Dividend information is automatically included in the Annual Information Statement (AIS), sourced from banks and depositories. More details on transactions in AIS can be found here. While the ex-date is known to the broker, the actual credit of dividends to the bank account may occur on a different date. As a broker, we may not always have visibility into the exact date of credit. Based on this, we provide a Dividend Returns card under the Insights page, where this data is displayed.
To view your dividend report :
- Log in to the Flip App and go to the Portfolio page.
- Select Insights.
- Choose Deep Dive.
- Scroll down to see Return Analysis. There you can see the dividend contribution to returns.
- Click on 'Dividend History.' You can see the scrip name and consecutive dividend received.
Please Note : The dividend amount shown in the app is the dividend you are eligible to receive as per the ex-date. Please see your bank account statement to know whether the amount is credited or not. Also, dividends shown in Flip are based on the transactions done in Geojit. So if you have done transactions outside Geojit, they won't be reflected here.
