Is Geojit responsible for Customer-KYC (CKYC) and AML/PML filing for global investments via Stockal?
No. With regards to US trading accounts and investments, Geojit functions as a Referrer to introduce prospective clients to Stockal. Hence, Geojit is not responsible for CKYC or Anti-Money Laundering (AML) / Prevention of Money Laundering (PML) filing, as the trading account is opened directly in the US. These activities will be handled by the US broker DriveWealth.
