How do I start an SIP in a Smartfolios basket?
Smartfolios SIP baskets allow you to invest in a diversified portfolio at regular intervals. Follow the steps below to register an SIP in your preferred basket.
Step 1: Log in to Smartfolios, navigate to Discover, and apply the Invest Mode filter as SIP. Select the SIP basket you wish to invest in by clicking on the basket card.
Step 2: Review the basket theme and sector allocation, then click Invest Now.
Step 3: Provide the following details:
- SIP Date: Select your preferred trigger date.
- SIP Amount: The minimum SIP amount will be pre-populated.
- Frequency: Choose Weekly or Monthly. If Weekly is selected, the SIP will be triggered on the same weekday as the chosen trigger date.
- SIP Duration: Select the preferred number of installments.
- Payment Type: Choose Ledger or NACH.
- Ledger: SIP amounts are debited directly from the trading account ledger.
- NACH: Funds are debited from the registered bank account and credited to the trading account ledger two days before the trigger date.
Step 4: Click Review & Confirm, then click OK in the confirmation pop-up to complete the registration.
Note: For NACH-based SIPs, the first NACH collection request will be initiated only if the selected trigger date falls at least 5 days after the registration date.
