How is buying shares through an OFS different from buying shares in the normal market?

The OFS platform is an order collection system. Here:
  • The buyer needs to provide a bid price and quantity.
  • Bids below the floor price (specified by the company) will not be accepted.
  • Investors can only buy shares. They cannot sell shares, like in the normal market.
  • At the end of the bidding process, shares are allotted to successful bidders.
