Why are dividends sometimes credited to my trading account?
Dividends will be credited to your broker, who in turn will transfer the same to your trading account in the following cases:
- The shares are purchased before the ex-date and are in Geojit's pool account on the record date.
- The shares are purchased before the ex-date and are in Geojit's CUSPA account on the record date.
If the shares are held in your demat account on the record date, the dividend will be credited to your registered bank account.
